Bench
Racing ......... and I do it well !!!!
3/20/02

 |
The race shop,
one silver and one blue.
Note the
"racing" transmission disassembled in front of the blue car
The silver
car is getting topped off with fuel & a battery charge - just
like at the track.
|
|

Before the
enclosed 24 ft trailer, it was the open air hauler. Much cheaper. |

New tire rack in
the trailer - custom built by Duske Engineering. Time to re-tire ???? |
|
9/2001 Mission -
one hour enduro |
|

Group 4 race,
getting ready for the hit putting me out of 1st place overall in the race. |

"Sorry to
park on track but I'm broken. Can I go back to the pits now? I still
have another race group and an enduro to run ....and a car to fix". |
|

Mission - start
of the enduro. |
After making
speedy repairs from the earlier incident with the help of Glen, I
started the enduro race .
I was getting
noise from the damaged rear end & a slight oil leak as a result.
My lap times were off by almost 4 seconds a lap from the normal 30
minute sprint race.
The car was
filling with smoke from the grease leaking onto the exhaust. I
managed a 2nd overall at the end. Thanks Glen for the help! |

If
your car breaks, borrow one (or two)
|

Rick's RX7 #52-
I'll drive anything for points ......
Thanks Rick! |
 |
|
 |
Also
had to borrow Glen's Z in Portland.
Finished
3rd in class, not bad for starting last.
again.......
thanks
Glen! |
The
Good Old White car
I sold my old
"White" car, it's now being run by Glen Peterson as #109 - Peterson Racing.
Glen continued it's winning ways by capturing the 2000 SPO
championship and 4th & 3rd in GT2 for 2001 & 2002.
|

Just passed Glen
going into turn 1 at Mission |

Glen leads this
pack, I didn't make pre-grid on time and had to go out last. That's
#52 at the end ....
It was actually
kinda fun. I held back just before the start, got a good roll at the
green flag, and passed about 10 cars by turn 1, and 3 more by turn 2.
Went from 32nd on the grid to finish in 5th place.
