Duske Racing History

About Manfred - bla bla bla bla bla bla.

German translation - der unda zee bla bla bla bla bla bla.

1975 - 1976

This Formula Ford is a Lotus.

I bought it for $2000 in '75 and sold it for $2000 in '77. This car would be worth $25,000 in restored condition today.

1992 - Shared an MR2 ride with another driver. his car served to get me through the novice program again.

I was able to beat anyone that broke.

Now beings the # 52 "colored cars" - red, white, silver and blue

Red Car - Datsun 240Z

1 Championship

1993 - 1995

This is when racing begins to be fun for me. The Z's provide a driver friendly ride & the most speed for the dollars spent that I've been able to find, along with the reliability.

With Co-driver Pat Boyle, we were 1st in class in the 1993 "Six hours of Seattle" enduro.

White Car - Datsun 280Z

4 Championships

1970 240Z chassis

I first started with the standard 2.4 liter engine.

Then slowly saved and budget as required for the higher horse power, higher dollar 2.9 liter motor.

White car wins

Silver Car - Datsun 280Z

3 Championships

The silver car has slightly wider flares than the white car. This allows for a wider tire selection. It also has a more adjustable suspension. The engine is a dry sump 2.8 liter with Mukini 44 mm racing carbs.

Blue Car - Nissan 240ZX

The latest, fastest and requires more time, more money and more knowledge of car set-up. This car has lots of potential. I consider this my "car of the future".

The capabilities of the engine , transmission and suspension are seemingly endless. I hope to bring the car and my skills up to a level of being competitive at tracks like Laguna Sece, Sears Point, etc.

Mac Russell owns the sister car to my car and set a new SCCA qualifying record at Sebring in Jan of 2001, when he and I ventured down to the Southern Florida track. That was a significant portion of my finalizing the purchase of the blue car.

Oh ...Did I say fastest, oh ya .....

Watch out Mac, if I can keep a gear box in this "blue lighting", we'll have some good races.
